Thank you for the response to my small experiment :)

This is very simple to make if you have camera with long time exposition, tripod and handy light (white LED I have). Also you need a bit of patience and free time.

I have to use there first good flower from my wife "home garden" at my table. You can see the green lights on the picture, it is Wi-Fi router ;)

The advantage of a "light brush" is that you can make any light pattern, accent or hide unwanted scenes details. I applied 10 seconds camera exposition time in completely dark room and draw around the object. We take the best case if handy light focused in smaller point and camera set to lowest ISO sensitivity value (200 I have). For manual focusing I to use additional table lamp.

The result depend on your luck and imagination.

I'll take more pictures in this style, but I need some inspiration ;) I hope you too will be interesting to try. - Nov 08 2013

I have to grow up vote of some of your pictures but do you want to know my advice on how to make your pictures better? ;)

Just to take away all the excess out of the frame, show only thing that touches you.

You have a good view but you must to show this one to all other.. For example, the Apple Tree will seen as one perfect apple and some foliage near. Only if you do not need to show an unexpected shape of the tree. Another details, like a wires on the sky, make a visual noise and to mask the main theme.

Hi! Good picture!

You can make this image more usable for wallpaper. You will to flip image and unfocused area will located at the left side of frame where most applications icons placed.

I check every my picture in two display's for better contrast and compatibility with icons placement. It is easy if you have good original as you have!
