Hello,
Thank you for your work but it seems I have a problem on my up-to-date Kubuntu install:
You can see a screenshot of the error message here, maybe you can do something:

OK, thank you for these explanations. However, the dark version of Breeze doesn't have this problem, that's strange

I'd like to report two glitches, I don't know if you can do something about it :
I have a panel at the top and the taskbar texts are really blurry (actually not sure if this is related to the top position of the panel, just though about it while typing this message)

Non full-length panel have white corners

Looks cool but the name should really reflect better what this plugin is. Something like "Desktop mouse plugin Command Launcher". Not so nice but very informative.

This is a scripted effect, so you can use the "Get new effect" button in the "All effects" tab from the effects configuration module in systemsettings (not sure about the translation, my KDE is not in english). It works in KDE 4.10.

Idea: I'd love to have the desktop version of the plasmoid show a "big" tomato instead of the config dialog.

Hi,
I really like this idea, thank you :) ! Like rickdesantis said, it would be cool if you could implement a least the pomodoro variant ("you have to work without any distraction for 25 mins...") so that your plasmoid can fit to most people workflow.
And this plasmoid is indeed a good candidate for a javascript/qml port because it is very simple and people hate to compile things :)
Thanks for your work

maybe you could add an option to display the time elapsed even after the end of the timer (ex: -00:01:30... -00:01:29...)
when I boil an egg or something like that, I often put a counter on my desktop but if I want to let it boil just a little bit more, the timer become useless because it is stopped at 00:00:00. It can be useful too when I don't exactly know when the timer stopped.
When the time goes negative, it could be displayed in red or something like that, with a little sound when it reach 00:00:00

Hi :)
One thing I'm missing in the timer plasmoid I currently use is when it reach 00:00:00, it simply stops. It would be great if the timer goes negative (ex: -00:00:35) (and colored in red or something). This feature could be usefull when I miss the alert or when I decide to let my pizza cook just a little bit more - Mar 25 2011

This looks promising, I always missed this feature in KSnapshot :)
It seems to be usefull even for "normal" users, maybe a merge between your app and ksnapshot one day ? - Mar 01 2011

thank you ! Ktorrent is really a nice and well integrated KDE app :)
But I don't really understand what is the "Video streaming support" feature ?
And may I suggest some improvements to the "open torrent" dialog ? It could be great to have the ability to filter (with a filter bar) and sort by size in the treeview widget that show the content of the torrent - Jan 01 2011

Nice but IMO, having to set up a local apache server is a bit too much for a TODO list.
As you said, it could be great to use an online server. Very useful to use with a smartphone for exemple, I could simply add a shortcut to the todo php/html page. Bonus point if I can update my todo list from the web page :) - Sep 08 2010

I can't compile it right now but it could be great to allow to darken only a specified window.
It is sometime hard for the eyes when reading a website with a bright background so I use the "dim inactive windows" effect and unfocus the window that I'm reading. Maybe your plugin could bring a more elegant solution to this problem ? (I think it will be better than darken all the screen because not all windows need this effect at the same time, ie Kate with a dark theme and Konqueror with an online documentation site)
Anyway, thanks - Apr 26 2010

Very useful, I like it a lot
I'd love if you or someone else make this plasmoid embeddable in a panel (maybe only an icon in the panel and a popup containing the same plasmoid layout as the desktop version)
It could be great to have a "clear" button in the input field too.
And maybe one could delete an entry just by selecting the line or a few characters in the line ?
Anyways, thanks :) - Apr 18 2010

hi,
that's because this isn't a scripted plasmoid but a binary one. Maybe Ubuntu packages it but not sure (it's in kde playground and not really finished).
Maybe AWC has found a new father with more free time and love than me, or a similar applet will be created,

sorry, not yet. I have a semi-functional version which works with the new task dataengine but it still needs some work... and my new job has completely took my free time

Well, I don't use a 64 bits system, sorry. Moreover, this version of ActiveWindow Control only works with KDE 4.1 so if you have 4.2 beta it won't work. I have an updated version which only works with a very recent build of KDE (packages from Kubuntu for example are too old). It is still a work in progress and I'm a bit busy with my new job so this will have to wait a little...
New features : works on panel and on the desktop, use the tasks dataengine, buttons reflects the current state of the window (shade button are "pushed down" when the window is shaded and so on...)
I should do some polish and upload it to svn playground...
Regarding your problem, does the compilation process finish ? Maybe you install the applet in the wrong prefix if you have multiple versions of KDE ? - Dec 31 2008

Hi,
you really should check if there is not already an open bug report in bugs.kde.org/. If not, maybe you can open a new bug here. You could try to post in KDE Brainstorm too (http://forum.kde.org/brainstorm.php) - Dec 09 2009

Hi,
I don't think this is directly related to Panel spacer because it don't manage its own positioning... so it's likely a plasma bug. Please report it if you can, thanks :) - Aug 13 2009

I can't do this for you as I'm on 32bit but I guess it will come now that PanelSpacer is in KDE's playground and this applet seems quite popular

There are several services of file sharing like this. Maybe a good idea would be to have only a front-end (your plasmoid) and several backend (plugins)
Just an idea, I understand you want to concentrate on your plasmoid

Indeed, the voting system is not optimal... but remember that the automatic decrease is for each entry in KDE Look so even if yours decrease, you're still at the top of the others :)
I also contribute some code from time to time (not enough... cruel lack of time...) and remember that for each angry user that say something, you have ten happy users... and probably thousands or ten of thousands users who silently enjoy your contribution !

Well, I think that the vote percentage automatically go down after a few time until somebody vote "+" again. It is to prevent staying always at the top even if there are no new voters.
So there is a high chance that nobody voted "bad" and it is simply the rating mechanism.
Anyway, your plasmoid is just great and I can't even imagine why someone would vote "bad" for it :)

Maybe you could do a colored version for each of these icons ? I love colored folders because I can spot them in a glimpse but there is no decorated folders with colors in the default oxygen theme (and not enough colors to my taste : dark grey, pink...)
