Hi,

I upgraded both the Android paid app and the Amarok script to the latest releases from this weekend and now adding songs to the playlist and selecting songs in the playlist works like a charm! Thx for your quick fix! :-)

One issue I noticed: When I choose a diffrent song in the app playlist, the playback starts but the "play" icon is not updated and the previous song is still shown as "playing" in the playlist. - Oct 21 2013
I can browse both library and playlist but tapping songs does nothing nor does drang'n'drop. So how can I add a song to the playlist? - Oct 18 2013

VeromixServiceMain file is missing in package after installing the plasmoid successfully:

~/.kde4/share/apps/plasma/plasmoids/veromix-plasmoid/dbus-service/VeromixServiceMain.py

So nothing is working. Strange, the file is missing in git, too... :(

Regarding this topic: http://blog.martin-graesslin.com/blog/2011/08/shadow-and-no-oxygen/

Ok, this theme is no widget style but since it draws its own menus and stuff, the subject of the article linked above still applies here. - Aug 01 2011
I guess the missing shadows are KDE 4.7 specific because the KWin shadow plugin was removed. Menu shadows are now drawn by the Oxygen (and oxygen-gtk) style itself. Since the Firefox menus are not drawn by either of these styles, the shadows do not apply.

This means, that every KDE 4.7 user sees the shadow-less menus. Can anyone confirm? - Jul 31 2011
Works like a charm, thx! :) - Jul 31 2011
Seems like the background transparency outside the "comment bubble" is lost:
http://simplest-image-hosting.net/jpg-0-plasma-desktopoh2250

Maybe this is the reason for the non-working rounded corners, too?
- Jul 31 2011
Hi, I noticed that the window control buttons are placed higher in the original Oxygen window decoration than in your addon:
http://simplest-image-hosting.net/png-0-before

So I created a patch to make it look like this:
http://simplest-image-hosting.net/png-0-after

If you like it, feel free to use my patch:
http://paste.kde.org/104011
- Jul 31 2011
Hi, the new method to draw rounded corners on menus does not work for me on FF5 and KDE 4.7.0:
http://simplest-image-hosting.net/jpg-0-plasma-desktopzp2250

If you take a close look, you'll notice that there is a rounded corner outline drawn upon the normal corners, see that? Shadows are still missing but since I did not found that in the changelog, I think is not a bug but not implemented yet.

On a personal sidenote, I am a little bit indefferent about the new addons page style. It sure looks pretty but this is no longer consistent with Oxygen style. And wasn't your addon all about consistency? ;-) - Jul 31 2011
On KDE 4.7 without the shadow plugin, this is what it looks like without rounded corners:

http://simplest-image-hosting.net/jpg-0-plasma-desktopau4181

Are the shadows supposed to be drawn by CSS -moz-box-shadow or by KWin? - Jul 11 2011
I tried to disable rounded corners but this does not bring back the menu shadows. Which css file do I have to patch for shadows? popup.css? menu.css? Maybe I can send you a patch... - Jul 11 2011
Since you introduced the "drag on empty space" feature, I can no longer expand the barlesque status bar: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/barlesque/

And since KDE SC 4.7 removed the KWin shadow plugin, the Firefox context menus look rather dull: http://simplest-image-hosting.net/jpg-0-plasma-desktopc18187

Oxygen now draws its own shadows for context menus. But the oxygen-gtk, the GTK2 version of oxygen style, comes with KDE SC 4.7 and draws pretty nice contextual menu itself: http://simplest-image-hosting.net/jpg-0-plasma-desktopc181870 (yes, this is really a GTK2 app!)

So either you should think about removing your styled version of the context menu or add at least an option to let them be be drawn natively (like you did with tabs).

- Jul 10 2011
I had not noticed if you had not mentioned this. The missing margins between the tabs is not very important but the tabs seem to be positioned a few pics too low then, see what I mean?

http://simplest-image-hosting.net/png-0-image-20110708-113321
- Jul 08 2011
Wow, finally the look of pinned app tabs when too many tabs are open has been fixed! Thank you so much for this, you made my day! :) - Jul 08 2011
Will 3.1 have pinned app-tabs fixed when many tabs are open? This bug is really annoying for me. I tried to fix it but I got to admit that it is not that easy to fix. At least not too obvious... - Mar 29 2011
Confirmed! I started off with a clean FF profile and the app button is now sitting on the left where it is supposed to sit. - Mar 01 2011
Great release, Kudos!

The only minor issue I have is that the Firefox app button is floating right for me instead on sitting on the very left side like I can see on the other screenshots (e.g. http://img.flashtux.org/img132db931947dxa132b630.png). For me, it looks like this:

http://simplest-image-hosting.net/jpeg-0-app-button

I deactivated each plugin that I suspected to cause this (Tab Mix Plus, Tab Utilities...) but no effect. Do you have any idea what could be causing this? - Feb 28 2011
Wow, your skin keeps getting better and better. Brilliant work! I currently use v3 Beta 4 with FF 4b4.

Unfortunally, it seems you re-introduced the bug with the broken search field in Firebug (which you fixed in an earlier release): http://imagebin.ca/view/ZAffcz.html - Sep 17 2010
Cool, I will check out your Beta as soon as it is released.

Latest Firefox build has tabview? Do you mean "Panorama"? It was still missing in Firefox 4 Beta 4... - Sep 05 2010
Hey, this is great news! :) I am really looking forward for the fixed version.

Here is a screenshot of the urlbar in Firefox 4 Beta 4 with your theme:
http://img693.imageshack.us/my.php?image=47462215.jpg

Here is a screenshot with my fix applied:
http://img693.imageshack.us/my.php?image=fffixed.jpg

Here is my fix, applied in ~/.mozilla/firefox/your_profile/chrome/userChrome.css:
http://pastebin.com/h4heDR7m

Basically, I copied these lines from your stylesheets and reapplied them in userChrome.css with the !important attribute.

Don't know why they did not work in FF4, they used to work fine in FF3.6. - Sep 05 2010
Do you plan to support Firefox 4.0? Your theme already works pretty well with FF 4.0 Beta 4 but the new extenions dialog is screwed up as well as the "Firefox Sync" setup dialog, which is unusable with your theme.

There is also a minor flaw with the location bar but I fixed this. Somehow your #urlbar stiles were overwritten, I fixed this by adding them in userChrome.css again with !important attribute. - Sep 04 2010

I am using openSUSE 11.4 64bit with KDE SC 4.6.3. My integrated graphics card is an Intel Arrandale chipset (uses free i915 driver) and the discrete adapter as an ATI MobilityRadeon 5650 (uses the free radeon driver). My XOrg stack is version 7.6_1.9.3.

Let me know wether you need any more information or contact me on Skype (andreas.demmer), ICQ (103924771) or Jabber (andreas.demmer.1977@googlemail.com).

The backtrace is following:

Switching cards in runlevel 3 using "ECHO DIS > /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch" for discrete and "ECHO IGD > /sys/kernel/debug/vgaswitcheroo/switch" for integrated graphics works fine.

Here is the content of my switch file:

Nevertheless, Switchy crashes (even 1.0 release). Any suggestions? - Jun 04 2011

Aptana Studio 3 Beta, running on openSUSE 11.3 with KDE SC 4.6 Beta 2.

Why have you removed gtk-oxygen-engine? Is it merged or do you find it inferior in any way? - Dec 13 2010
Disabling the following app names works fine and prevents any further crashes:

disable:AptanaStudio3:studio3

I just saw that the new gtk-oxygen-engine disappeared here which was actively developed over the last few weeks. Is this project merged with yours? - Dec 13 2010

It's crashing for me too in KDE SC 4.6. I sent a backtrace to the developer, seems related to solid. Maybe it is caused by the transition of solid from HAL to udev. - Dec 10 2010

PS: It's already working on KDE SC 4.6 Beta 2, but no app launcher support yet. - Dec 07 2010
I made a diff between your flexibletasks and the original tasks plasmoid from August. However, it took me some manual adjustments to port the patch to the current task plasmoid because it was partly rewritten due to activity and app launcher support.

It's not 100% there but about 90% (app laucher support is missing). If you are interested to take my efforts as base for your update, just contact me. - Dec 07 2010

Anyone listening? :) - Dec 01 2010
Can you please release an updated version for KDE SC 4.6 Beta 1 that supports activities? Your current release causes a Plasma crash. :(

Alternatively, you could just post your patchset and I'll patch the 4.6 sources myself.

Thanks! :) - Nov 29 2010
Hi,

the indicator for grouped tasks (number of tasks in group with little arrow point above) on the right sight of a task covers the task item and is really hard to read when in "ony icon" mode.

Could you implement that (if in icon mode) grouped tasks are not square but rectangular so that the group indicator is shown right beside the icon? This would be awesome! I had a look at the code myself but the "taskgroupitem.cpp" (where i suspect the indicator rendering code to be in) is quite longish. If you give me any hints, I try to come up with a patch. - Aug 27 2010

It was my who sent you the patch! :) I understood you reply this way, that you would merge it as soon as you switch to KDE 4.5.

AFAIK it does not break backwards compatibility.

But there is still a major glitch with smooth-tasks and resizing panels: I have my panel set to minimum width and growing, centered on the bottom center of the screen. Now smooth-tasks fails to determine the correct width and the panel is cropped on the right side. It is fixed after opening and closing some apps. If this could be fixed, it would be awesome! - Aug 11 2010

How does your plasmoid determine the remaining time? Through solid? Then I figured it out, whats going wrong. Solid wraps "lshal" and that displays an rate of 0. So no remaining time display for me... :-/ - Jul 23 2010
Forgot to mention: The default battery plasmoid works well. - Jul 22 2010
The plasma pm engine seems to work:
http://imagebin.ca/view/65ciFJ.html

This is the ouput of the query "solid-hardware query 'IS Battery'":
udi = '/org/freedesktop/Hal/devices/computer_power_supply_battery_BAT0'

I already tried rebooting - it did not fix the problem.

Found on openSUSE 11.3 and KDE 4.4.93.
- Jul 22 2010
I run openSUSE 11.3 with KDE 4.5 and your plasmoid compiled and installed fine. But it does not find my battery. I launched it with the plasmoidviewer to see whether it complains about something but everything seems to work fine.
