Ah, you mean the icons in the nemo window when it is in the background. Ok, that was actually a feature, but not an important one. I'll remove it with the next release. Regarding the off-center icons: You're right, I've not even seen that. I will fix it with the next release too. You can edit the cinnamon.css and insert:

margin-left: 1px;

Oh, if you're looking for a completely dark theme, I'd recommend using Obsidian-2 instead:

It shares the same codebase with Jade-1 and comes with the same color accents. The dark mode inside Jade-1 is an exact copy of Obsidian-2. - Oct 15 2021

I used a bash-script to copy the new/changed files from the default theme into each accent/subtheme. So the timestamp may still be the one of the spring-release, but the changes are there :-) Look for files named "gtk-dark.css". - Oct 15 2021

Dark mode is the ability for certain applications to look dark without using a dark theme. It makes it possible for only some applications to be dark and for the rest of the apps to remain light. So you'll not find another subtheme. The dark mode is inside the existing ones. - Oct 15 2021

Hey, can you tell me which Distribution you are using?

The styling behaviour of the PDF-viewer makes me wonder, since it is just an average gtk-based application, so either every other app should show these bugs too, or none. Which pdf-viewer are you using? Evince?

Yes, the GNOME extensions are poorly supported. I focused on the vanilla GNOME because there are just too many extensions out there to keep an eye on everyone. - Dec 06 2020

The only difference between light, dark and normal are the action- and status-icons. They can only be seen in apps that use pixel-based action-icons (in the taskbar or the menu; e.g. Geany or Transmission). If the OS or an app uses the symbolic (svg-based) icons, the color is taken from the gtk-theme. - Oct 01 2020

Hi, this request comes quite often, but Obsidian has never meant to be a Faenza-continuation. Just the app icons and some minor stuff are taken from Faenza (because there is nothing better out there ;-) ). If you're looking for a Faenza-continuation, maybe Delft Icon Pack could be interesting for you:

This comes with all the Faenza-styled folders, mimetypes, etc. and has up to date app icons. It is some months behind Obsidian, but I'm working on an update. - May 30 2020

Many Thanks! I think you're right. Your bigger window-bars look far better than mine, so I'll enlarge them in the next Release. A height of 48px is a little bit too much, but 36-40px should fit perfect.

Ok, I've taken a look at it. The necessary icons are available, but those three menu items in Thunar seem to be Linux Lite specific and are closely tied to the default Papirus icon theme. So it seems they cannot be changed by another icon theme. If you know any icon theme (except Papirus) which is able to change these three menu items, please let me know... - Jul 14 2019

Ok, they're added. The Inkscape icon is a little bit too simple, the original Faenza one is done better imho, even if it's not that close to the default Inkscape icon. I'm working on a compromise... - Feb 08 2019

No, it is ony compatible with gtk 3.18 and below. These distributions use gtk 3.22.

Hi, the Ubuntu menu icon (3x3 dots) cannot be changed via icon pack, afaik. You need a Gnome-Shell-theme which overrides the menu icon. - Oct 12 2018

Hi, I've added the new Document View and Contacts icons (the icon reference has changed in Gnome 3.30 ...once again). And I've replaced some of the obsidian styled sidebar-icons with those from Adwaita. This should bring Delft more closer to the original Faenza. Enjoy! - Oct 12 2018
