Description:

There is hope and its called: KORE
Kore is a completely new attempt at finally giving KDE a constant, stylish and modern identity.

This project aims to replace all that was default and redraw your whole desktop. So the category "Emerald-Theme" is unfitting, but there is nothing like a Suite category here.
If you are a really skilled ICON DESIGNER or QT STYLE SKINNER,
contact me at the email found in my profile.

I'm happy for every help i get !

Thanks for checking it out, more Screenshots to come,

I really love the theme, and I'm using it now. But I have a problem with the tooltips for desktop icons and files in Konqueror. The tooltip appears to have a black background with black text, so the text is not visible. The system settings manager doesn't allow the user to change tooltip colors for either background or text. Is there way around this or another way to fix the problem? Thanks!

I had the same problem until I found it in the domino style-config dialogbox by the name of "custom tooltip color"

Great theme. Everything works but the menu is not like yours, it is still the old default. How do I change to look like yours so it is black. I must have not edited something right?

I'm a Gnome guy and this theme would make me switch to KDE! I love it! I installed Kububtu Feisty and the only things I can get to work are the Beryl theme and the wallpaper. How do I get the ThemeManager and Domino cfg part to work. I also did get the KBFX menu install but cannont get the Kore theme for it to work.

Can anybody give me a howto on how to get this suite to work? Thanks

Nice overall theme. I like the Emerald style.
Blue and black really offers a nice sharp contrasting look, perfect for long hours of work.

It's a perfect work, you should recommend it in kde.org as the defalt look or make a distribution for that theme, 'cause its wonderfull

PD: I'm not joking

Report

nathanael

well

I also think that you should take care that your things are distributed by default with kde...

Too nice to be left outside

As for the KBFX theme:
Scrolls are missing :-( I will try to fix that.

If you give me permission, I will take care that this theme is delivered with KBFX as an optional theme by default. Please let me know if that^s ok for you

Maybe you misunderstood me biomega...

I'm not the artist at all... code2 is.

I just posted it as reply to your post so that the artist (aka code2) sees that your wish to see it included in a later release is shared by others....

With the "Kore minimal" emerald theme, the minimize button sometime will stick or put on top instead. The trigger zone for these functions can change a lot on the same window (without even moving or minimizing the window at all).
It happens mostly with firefox, and not all the time (80% of the time on firefox).

Apart from that, great job! Most of the other themes seem crude in comparison ^^.

PS: I'd love an alternative gtk theme with a different color instead of the current gray; maybe the same black as the tiles?

I don't think that's related to this theme, I think you're talking about a Beryl issue.

It happens on loads of themes, just like the garbled text, well a least for me it does.

By far the best theme i've come across! I can't wait to see everything else you have coming. A Firefox theme would be nice too, once you finish the icon set.

This theme is really nice, but in my opinion a little bit to dark/black.

it would be better to release this package in light black/dark grey, or even in other smooth looking colors.

I installed it, and i immediately started to modify it, like making the kbfx lettercolor White, instead of grey, so i can read the menu better.

I will modify and show u the result, so maybe u can release that as well.

greetings, mike

There was a blueish version but i did not like it very much, so i abandoned it, but there will be a lighter style with a brownish flair.

Im also thinking of a completely white one (Beryl, domino, kicker) and brownish color sheme.

Stay tuned there is more to come, and you will be surprised, im allways up to something new, as long as its fun ;)

Thanks,
Flo

Finally, a professional-looking and functional dark theme for KDE. I'm using it right now, and it's amazing.
I especially love the way Amarok looks! So I just want to congratulate you on a job well done, and say that I really look forward to the completion of this suite.
