Description:

There were many requests that someone should port roberTO's great gtk-theme VistaBut (http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=32227) to KDE... so, here it is!

Well, it's not a standalone theme but a mod for Lipstik.

Instructions on how to install are included in the package.

Credit goes to roberTO21 and PaT!

Can you post your font settings (I have candara). Also, what icon set are you using there.

Thanks, very nice theme.

The only thing it lack is a mention that before compilation LipsticStyle class in lipstic.h should be extended with two more fields to compile. bool _enableVitesque, _compressedMenus should be added somewhere in the private section.

Nice Style

But how do you get the "KDE" button in the bottom panel for the K-menu?

Nice looking style.
Which icon set did you use on your screenshots ?

Hi.

Just so you know, lipstik-2.2 will not compile after you copy the three files over to the respective directories as instructed in your readme. You will need to add the following two lines in lipstik.h of the original lipstik package (found in the style subdir).

bool _enableVitesque;
bool _compressedMenus;

Once you do that, lipstik-2.2 compiles (and works) beautifully. :)

Can someone compile this stuff to an (K)Ubuntu (5.10) compatible .deb?
I would really appreciate that!

I tried to compile it myself like in the readme, but then I first have to remove the old lipstik, and when I do so it also removes the KDM and kubuntu-default-settings :(

Just type alien -c "filename".rpm as root ---filename being the rpm of the mod located at "http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=33743"

This will convert it to a .deb that you can then install with ease. If you have trouble let me know and I will post mine (which installed perfectly).

I installed Vistesque the way you described, but it doesn't seem to work. In the style module in the control center, Vistesque is not displayed in the list. And oddly enough, Lipstik is displayed in the list, although I removed it. Lipstik still works, and Vistesque won't work.

Oh no... I found it.
I removed the .qt/lipstikstylerc file and setup lipstik clicking on the defaults button at the lipstik config dialog, as mentioned on http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=35729. After that, I found out there's an 'Enable Vistesque' checkbox in the lipstik config dialog... I feel so stupid.

How in the hell did you change your taskbar font color to white? Mine are ugly, black, and unreadable. If I change the WindowText and ButtonText colors in kcontrol, the taskbar colors change to white; however, this renders my window and button fonts white and subsequently unreadable as well.

If you have Taskbar v2 installed (http://kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=31611), click on the handle, go to taskbar v2 menu -> advanced options -> use window background color for text.

This probably only works if your window color is white though, never tried with darker backgrounds.

I don't know how to remove the outlines like in the screenshots though...

When i compile the "unpatched" lipstik, it compiles without any problems. I use kde 3.5.0 on Gentoo.

"bool _enableVitesque;" missing. Adding that to the file will make it work.
