Description:
This is a "how to" for GRU2 Boot splash !It is Kind of complicated, But if you follow the instructions it it doable,With the GRUB2 boot now you can use .tga,.png and .jpeg images. the old boot splash images are not supported, so you can use a regular type wallpaper for GRUB2 BOOT SPLASH ! I have included the My Ultimate Edition back ground, The how to also includes the Liknk to the original How to from ubuntu help, Which is long and somewhat confusing, As always, Back up your important data!!

How to install a grub theme:

  1. Extract the theme to /boot/grub/themes/

  2. Edit /etc/default/grub file. Find the line starting with "#GRUB_THEME" and change it to "GRUB_THEME=/boot/grub/themes/[THEME_FOLDER]/[theme.txt]" (replace [THEME_FOLDER] ; [theme.txt] is probably OK ; remove "[]" brackets)

  3. Run sudo update-grub
