To do it manually without (sum) the "Start-Up Manager":
Extract Sleek_Dragon_Usplash_Splash-01.so.tar.gz
Open the terminal were this file has benn extracted. And Type:
"sudo mkdir -p /usr/local/lib/usplash/"
"sudo cp Sleek_Dragon_Usplash_Splash-01.so /usr/local/lib/usplash/Sleek_Dragon_Usplash_Splash-01.so"
"sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/lib/usplash/usplash-artwork.so usplash-artwork.so /usr/local/lib/usplash/Sleek_Dragon_Usplash_Splash-01.so" 55"
"sudo update-alternatives --config usplash-artwork.so"
"sudo dpkg-reconfigure linux-image-$(uname -r)"
