copy it to any folder you like. then open gconf and change the path of the default wallpaper to the new splash. in case you have installed gtweakui, simply go to the advanced gnome menu, select the session button and change the splash there by clicking on the image.

is there any software for my fedora gnome or anything for changing splash screens automatically like KDE
i really like the foot :D could you post your xfc file? i'd like to use it on my artwork if possible.
