Customize your GRUB selection screen with these funny simpsons splash screens!

Installation instructions: Extract the contents of the archive and, as root, move the extracted folder to /boot/grub with the command sudo mv /home/username/where_you_extracted the archive/splashimages /boot/grub. Edit the /boot/grub/menu.lst file following the tutorial at http://ruslug.rutgers.edu/~mcgrof/grub-images/#1.1.

How to install a grub theme:

  1. Extract the theme to /boot/grub/themes/

  2. Edit /etc/default/grub file. Find the line starting with "#GRUB_THEME" and change it to "GRUB_THEME=/boot/grub/themes/[THEME_FOLDER]/[theme.txt]" (replace [THEME_FOLDER] ; [theme.txt] is probably OK ; remove "[]" brackets)

  3. Run sudo update-grub
