Usplash was created to "Miętowy Remix 8 Helena PL".
Tested on Linux Mint 8 - Helena and Ubuntu Karmic Koala!
** INSTALATION **
Simply install StartUp-Manager and select file.
** PULSATE-LOGO **
If you want to pulsate logo, follow these guidelines:
1) open terminal:
sudo gedit /usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/init-top/usplash
2) find the line:
/sbin/usplash -p -c -t 60 --background --pidfile usplash.pid
3)and replace the:
/sbin/usplash -p --pulse-logo -c -t 60 --background --pidfile usplash.pid
4)save and exit gedit
5)sudo update-initramfs -u
Finish
Supported resolutions:
640x480
800x600
1024x640
1024x768
1280x720
1280x800
1280x1024
1440x900
1680x1050
1600x1200

thanks for the info on the pulsate part, i think i'll give this a try!
btw, do u need to do anything special to make a pulsing throbber?
I think each should work, but I'm not 100% sure.
