cool !!!
The text box that displays boot info when "quiet" is NOT enabled is blue for some reason. This is a fresh install of feisty, so I haven't messed around with anything else yet. When I used Edgy, I had the same problem but thought it was because I messed something up. How can I make the text box black and make the text match the color theme? I really like this usplash theme except for the blue colors. Thanks
great job!
Now if we'd only get this for amd 64 too ;) PS. Message me with the details and I could make a 64bit deb for you
xopher, it would be great if you were to do on for 64 Bit systems :p. PLease email me the results.
Gorgeous, unfortunately I changed my setup to a green theme, and I don't know how to change a usplash theme's color :(
the deb does not configure itself with sudo update-alternatives --config usplash-artwork.so to get it to work after installation type: /usr/lib/usplash/usplash-artwork.so usplash-artwork.so /usr/lib/usplash/usplash-theme-tangerine.so 60
oops, type this sudo update-alternatives --install /usr/lib/usplash/usplash-artwork.so usplash-artwork.so /usr/lib/usplash/usplash-theme-tangerine.so 60
the latest update doesn't compile
fixed.
Could you make this a .deb?--I've installed Usplash Switcher & would like to install the "right" way...
A huge improvement over Edgy and a significant one over Dapper, but I can't help feeling there's something wrong with the shadows/reflections. Having two different lines of reflection (below ubuntu and its shadow and the progress bar and its shadow) gives the whole thing a strange look to me. Sorry to be perdantic - as I said it's still a great splash.
To enable text, go into menu.lst and remove the "quiet" option.
I don't have edgy yet, but this is great work anyway! I don't like the current splash screen of the edgy.
Ubuntu is long ago missing something like this "metallic" progress bar.
