You do not need two different theme archives, one for GDM and one for MDM, if you put both GdmGreeterTheme.desktop and MdmGreeterTheme.desktop into one and the same theme archive.
Cool, checked out the link but not the app... the idea makes one feel less of a hacker, hahaha :-P
But could be cool for those who wants to use existing GDM themes for their Mint installations :-)
Right, I agree it would be nice your account could be pre-selected, not sure if that could be manipulated somehow - As of the moment just click on yourself in the user-list and all you have to type in by hand is your password.
