hoobhoober: I'm not sure why, but it won't let me reply to your comment. This icon theme (and the artwork of many other users on this site) was created many years ago. Since then, the OpenDesktop network has undergone some changes and the site is completely different and behaves in a lot of ways that do not make sense for people creating and sharing their work. I am not sure why the download link was disabled. That was not of my doing. When I originally uploaded the icon theme, there was an easy to find download link on the OpenDesktop site, and I linked the deviantART page in the description, which also had a straightforward download link at the time. I have re-added the download to OpenDesktop, so users on this site should be able to download the icon theme easily. Please be understanding of the "worthless assholes" who have been blindsided by weird non-intuitive changes that were performed on the site with no warning or explanation. It is most likely not the artists' intention.
I just set up your theme and i totally love your work on the icons! Simply don't get this part of the community, no wonder so many people don't bother trying linux, with such toxic people around unfortunately. They attack people for using proprietary software and also attack people who kindly share good work for free, go figure... Anyway thx for the theme :D
Thank you so much for your kind words, glad you enjoy it :)
This user has made it very hard to get these icons, like many of the other worthless assholes on here. I will mirror them https://files.catbox.moe/yghes4.zip https://gofile.io/d/2Bpe3 https://filebin.net/8ndfqevoe3qouev2/retropixel_v0_74_by_therealpadster_d2wt0dh.zip?t=rqb22a7u i will attempt to put contact info on my file
I love the icons! The only (cosmetic) issue i have with it though, is the use of different scales for different icons. (i.e. the 'pixels' are 2x2 or some icons, 1x1 on others, and larger still. I personally prefer using a single pixel size on all icons. Still though! I love pixel art, and love seeing more pixelly icons out there. Thank you for this. :)
Thank you! I see what you mean about different scales. I actually try to make all of my icons in 14x14, then scale theme to 48px or 128px or whatever. It's just pretty hard to get something decent with 14 pixels, sometimes, and if I want to incorporate 2 icons for a new icon they usually don't match up. Also, some icons I need 15px or something a bit bigger, so I do that. Anyway, I'm glad you like them :D
This reminds me of classic Nintendo(TM) Awesomeness! Great Job again :)
Thanks!
