Great icon theme, working fine on ubuntu.

deviantdark

Thanks :)

I can't get this to install, I installed it a few days ago and it worked fine. I tried to reinstall it again today and the package from both links fails to install.

kaspiterina

hi, thank you for this icon theme. Can you add icon for gsynapthic touchpad and transmission?

milkypostman

I have tried both links but they are not giving me a valid file.

gruppler

hey, i see you used my Audacity icon...i'm flattered =]

deviantdark

It's Chrispy's job :) He grabbed it and included within the official Oxygen-Refit iconset. I didn't changed it, so it's within all my modded versions :)

Just in case this is a problem at your or your host's end: I've DLed and installed the red, green and black versions without a hitch, but with the white, the tarball looks fine and downloads w/o an error message, but the icon set fails every time on install. I've tried extracting it, I've re-DLed a few times, and I can't see any obvious problems in the index file. I'd like to have the set, but I can't find an alternate source. Any ideas?

deviantdark

I added a new megaupload link. Try to grab them from that link and tell me if that iconset is working. See ya!

deviantdark

Ti install the iconset, just download it onto your desktop in tar.bz2 format, then open System > Preferences > Theme. Drag&Drop the tarball into the Theme window, then the iconset will automatically install. ;)

I am using this theme, and the fact that you have made different colour versions makes this easily the best icon theme on this site or any other that I have seen. Really, this is a beautiful set of icons! I have a request, since I'd like to use this theme for a long long time to come, I'm wondering if you could possibly add in a mimetype for file with extensions of .gp3, .gp4, .gp5 and .ptb? These are files for tuxguitar (guitar tab files), if you could pop in a little guitar icon or something, that would be perfection! Or if not possible or you choose not to, could you elaborate how I could do it? (I have never modified any icon themes.) Again, kudos!

deviantdark

I am sorry but I don't know how to add new mimetypes... I just know how to edit them :P But I'll ask Chrispy [the releaser of the original Oxygen-Refit iconset] if he can do this for you. Thanks for your feedback by the way :)

herbster

That would be great, I look forward to any updates! :)

I'm kinda new with linux, can some of you guys explain where and how I can install these themes(really nice) I run ubuntu 7.10. Any support will be grateful. Nice pack btw, gj dark.

There are many ways to install an Icon Theme. The easier one is to have the iconset compressed in .tar.gz placed on your desktop. Then go to System > Preferences > Theme. A new window will open, with all the themes you have installed. Now just simply drag&drop the iconset tarball within the Themes window. Wait until the icontheme is installed, then the System will notice you that everything has perfectly installed. To use it, go to Customize [from the Themes window], select the Icons tab and choose the one you want. If you have some trouble, feel free to ask. See ya!

quaddamage

It worked, thank you so much. WOOHOO

IstrikeAgain

i'm using arch linux and swiftfox (ff3 based). i simply copied the folder with the icons to ~/.icons, like i do with all icon themes

deviantdark

I never tried my iconsets on that distro and with that browser [but if it's FF3 based.. there should be no problem]. Just try another Oxygen Iconset modification by me [you can find many other colourized versions], and let me know if the problem still remains. If it still remains, the problem cannot be fixed, otherwise I'll work on the White modification package. Let me know.

IstrikeAgain

icons are huge in some apps and some are missing in firefox (back and forward and home and refresh - no stock icons?) are there icons missing?

deviantdark

Which version of FF and Ubuntu are you using? I did a trial with FF2 and FF3 on Ubuntu 8.04 and [on another PC] on Ubuntu 7.04. Well.. everything's working fine. Maybe it is just a problem with your PC, or just how you installed the iconset.

wbw

It's an amazing job all these color mods you're doing from one of the best icons theme avaiable.

deviantdark

Thank you too for your support :)

An Icon Theme should have a valid .theme file among its files and aim to be complete for desktop use under Gnome or KDE Plasma.

If it contains only a single icon or a small set of icons, please use the Icon Sub-Sets or Single Icon/Logo categories instead.
