Hello World

This Set was born firstly for my own gust. For his nice looking I decided to share my work for all humans in the world for comparing it with everybody. So I had to bring it to a better, smoother fusion of both Themes (Human [Ubuntu-Gnome] & Hydroxygen [Oxygen]) and in many details improved Version. I worked hard for it and I think I got a very nice and modern looking Human-Theme. The main colour is orange, but I think it's a nice colour and very fashion. Okay not for everybody, but always good looking on dark Themes

The oranges were "too" orange and some of the icons look very cartoon-like. It didn't go well with really any of my gtk themes.

When install yuor deb on jaunty i have this error E:Sub-processor /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

schollidesign

It's a Bug in Jaunty. The Bugreport is since months submitted and for be quite unimportant already not fixed. What about the Bug: "gconf" or better said: "sudo gnome-terminal ..." ;)

l33tpolicywonk

I fixed this by deleting human-o2* from /var/lib/dpkg/info. You should back these up just in case.

molecule-eye

Getting the same error.

A good idea would to use a PPA for Ubuntu... it's free, it integrates with the package manager and people don't have to wait 45 seconds for the download. As well, it gives people access to your packaging, so it's totally transparent. Information at https://help.launchpad.net/Packaging/PPA Thanks for the package!

schollidesign

Yepp it's a great improvement. Updates are automatic and if I find a bug or something not right I can correct it immediately an send it to everyone, who included the packages in their source.list, home. ;) And of course the regular updates, too. It was a long and stressing way for get it working (PPA), but know it's perfect ... :D Thanks :) schollidesign

jesterthejedi

I tried to find your new version 1.1.4 n your debian/launchpad site, but it wasn't listed.

schollidesign

Yepp ... it will come out soon. But there are some postinst- and mainpage-stuffs for solving ;) We want that "lintian" give us a nearly 100% errorfree debian-package. But bash and debian are quite complicate for me :( But some friend helps me ... ;) Meanwhile you can download the actual deb-version in my dA-Homepage. But you don't use your own IconSet? ha ha ha

jesterthejedi

I grabbed it on your devaint art page. And of course I use my own set. I also test and try hundreds of icons. If you install disfferent sets you can get a taste for their style, and also see what icons work well together or are missing. I am always making improvements to my Mashup, but the goal is not to copy your own style, just use my own. I use other sets as a gauge to make my set more robust. Thanks

schollidesign

I know ;) ... This is what every collector is doing or should doing ... :)

terminhell

the ONLY icon i dont much care for in the set is the wlan icon. im not a fain of rainbow colors. Beyond that i think i have an older ver of this installed. :)

schollidesign

ha ha, yes I thought it sometimes, too. I will make a second Blocks-Wlan ;) Never mind you can choose the system-own-Wlan-Icons if you don't like it so colourful :) Thanks for your support ... Cheers

schollidesign

It's /usr/sbin/! But this problem will be solved in the next update through Ubuntu PPA. Meanwhile the first-aid-pack would be necessary for customize this Set. I am waiting for my friend he finally comes home and solve it ... i am really sorry for it. Post above: From Spain/Germany and Poland ;)

najmudin

Thanks mate its working now, and sorry for the double post;)

send4m3

Hi... I have a few question :) 1. when I am download why there is a *.zip file inside that is *.tar.gz ? 2. How to install ? usually I just have to double click install.sh ? Thanks

schollidesign

:D Why I know it, this ask will come! You really read the install-instructions? I wrote: "Changes!!! Ubuntu/Kubuntu-Users have to purge the old deb-file in their Package-Manager (Adept/Synaptic) and then to include this sources: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/johannes-schw/ubuntu intrepid main deb-src http://ppa.launchpad.net/johannes-schw/ubuntu intrepid main The regular-tar.gz-file can be downloaded in DeviantArt [also the non-deb-version ;) ]" Make a actualization from your package-list (update) and look for "human-o2-icons". Choose them for install and apply taken changes. This was a description if you use Synaptic as Packet-Manager ;) With this sources you will get automatic deb-updates without care if I published a new version ;) Hope you did understand me ... :) PD: You downloaded a non-deb-version. This is for non-deb-(*buntu)-distris if they wants enjoy this Set, too.

send4m3

Hmmm luckly I do know about installing ubuntu via software source as you mention in your reply. I think you should create a GPG so that there is no error in installation via third party software. Good work. anyway what is new in your current version ? thanks

schollidesign

The support of the sources is handled by a friend ... so I have more free hands for other stuffs :) GPG? They told me it's Bug in the launchpad and not correctable?!? But I will investigate more ... ;) My next project is: Choosing between the current human-loupe and a more fashion one. It's sounds easy, but there are many different loupe-variants ... And of course ... adapt this Set more for KDE 4.x ;) Cheers

send4m3

No... GPG is not an error... it is Ubuntu mechanical thats you have to put a unique number for a certain application.Just like product number in windows os. what is new in this version ? thanks

schollidesign

The most important! Changed the kind of distribution ;) Automatic updates is a important improvement... And yes, the styled Folder for Image and Video is new. Some Icons was corrected in details ... normally you don't see, but I am a perfectionist ;) But don't mind, the update in some weeks will have some changes you will see ;) The GPG-problem is at moment a theme for me and need to be controlled! :)

send4m3

Hmmm... I think you launch another icons version ? I've got updated from Ubuntu system. Have you solve the GPG ? What new in this icons now ? Thanks

schollidesign

Yes I solved the problem with the PGP-Key ;) You can download it now in my DeviantArt-Homepage ... New? Any new Icons, only I solved a script-problem with a friend ... so a update was necessary ... unfortunately. But now it's okay ;) Today I made a pack of new loupe-Icons ... wonderful. I hope peoples think the same if I let them out :) But for the next update I want make something more ... one or two weeks I will publish a new version. Hope I could inform and help ;) Bye

An Icon Theme should have a valid .theme file among its files and aim to be complete for desktop use under Gnome or KDE Plasma.

If it contains only a single icon or a small set of icons, please use the Icon Sub-Sets or Single Icon/Logo categories instead.
