Description: Simple started in 2009, and was continually updated till June 2010, where the idea was to create the most modern and visually pleasing icon theme for GNOME 2.x. Simple 2.7 builds upon 2.6.5 designed for GNOME 2.x and has been updated for GNOME 3.x / Unity while keeping backwards compatibility with GNOME 2.x

It's interesting that this theme works very well with Marlin, but some icons are not displayed in Nautilus, defaulting instead to a blank file icon.
So far I have seen TXT and EML files like that, I don't know if there are more.

I think a "monochrome" option for the panel icons (as in ubuntu, elementary, oxymentary, etc.) could be very useful, although users can also implement this themselves (for example: http://i.minus.com/ibs3MialgA9KYF.png)

Thanks for commenting, maybe you could upload the icon setup you are already using? and then it could be included into a updated Simple Extras as a added option.

In deed, on second thought, I've decided to follow the Ubuntu approach with a Mono-Light and a Mono-Dark option with one change: battery icon(s) showing a vertical battery instead of horizontal.
I'd also like to add a little gray to the black dropbox icon.
I can then make tar files of these and send to you later this week if you agree with the above.

Its now one of my two favorite themes. A better animation for network connecting would be nice, at the moment it uses the standard animation which doesn't really match to the rest of the icons.
Could you add icons for JDownloader, Leafpad and Thunar as Mjölnir?

Nice icons, but I found next issue with Minitube 1.2 and Kadu 6.5.4

When I change the icon set to default in Ubuntu 10.04 is ok.
Breaks down only with "Simple" set.
With Empathy, icons are a little bit too big, and in conversation windows, smileys are very very very big

Sorry i will have another look, reason the testing is done on a Live CD as seen in the screen shot is, ATM my laptop is down, due to my charger having recently died (Waiting for a new one). So i am currently running the Live CD on my Windows Machine.
I will have another look as seen in the screen shot it was showing correctly and not huge. Hopefully it can be fixed soon

hmm.. I am user of your icon set for years. Right now I am using Lucid Lynx, and when I am using empathy, your icon set seem make the icon become too big.
How to revolve this ? or how should I do ?

Can you make sure your using 2.6.x as all previous version e.g. 2.5.x and below had this issue and i though i had fixed it for 2.6 and above.

Hi... I am using your icon themes for years and I found it is great icon.
Recently, I installed it to Lucid and found something missing.
For example icon for Bluetooth icon in top panel and user icon in top panel too..
