Description: Infos: This is my very first GNOME Shell theme, it was possible with the huge help of half-left. 6 variants included: Gnome, Arch, Fedora, Ubuntu, Debian and KDE Hope you enjoy it
Wallpaper: Creating vs creating by Dimo Trifonov (desktopography 2010)
Icons: Elementary icons by DanRabbit
Instructions:
Backup your theme directory first. Extract the zip file and rename "gnome-shell" directory to "theme" and copy to /usr/share/gnome-shell/. This path is usually where GNOME Shell is installed. Restart GNOME Shell by Alt, F2, then type r and press enter.
You can use the gnome-shell theme extension for easier installation of themes.
Notes:
This theme is compatible with GNOME Shell 3.0.
This theme supports the gnome-tweak-tool/extension for easy theme switching. Just download the zip, load up the GNOME Tweak Tool, go to Shell>Shell Theme and find the zipped theme from the box and select it.
This is the only theme that will not show up. no matter where i put it.
Ive put it in the gnome shell directory.. Nothing,
put it in .themes , nothing.. put it in usr/share/themes, nothing.
I have many other themes installed.. and this is the only one that wont work, show up. :(
Hi, I maybe you put the wrong thing in "usr/share/themes"... in the zip there are 6 different themes so you'll nead to extract each theme one by one. I mean, if you'd like to install the GNOME variant, open "X3ME - GNOME.zip" and extract it to "usr/share/themes".
Hope it helps,
sorry for my bad English :D
Complimenti per il buon tema che hai prodotto, hai curato molto i particolari e questo si vede subito e sei riuscito ad avere un ottimo compromesso nella tonalità dei colori e trasparenze.
Unfortunately for me for some reason does not work when the transcript on my gnome-shell.CSS so it works. thy but unfortunately not know what it is? I have
Ubuntu 4.11, GNOME3 GNOMESHELL (UGR)
Strange, did you install it properly?
I reccomend you the "Gnome Shell Theme Selector Extension"
just extract the themes in
/usr/share/themes/
then press Alt+F2 and type "r" (without quotes)
after that select the theme from the overview

p.s.. when trying to install through the gnome shell extension/tweak manager, it tells me it cannot install it. why? The rest work fine.
And thanks for the -1 tho :)
