This is by far my favorite shell theme on here. Thank you. Only issue is the applet icons are squished to the right with no spacing. Same for the "Activities" button on the left, as seen here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/6647069/Screenshot.png Any ideas?
first of thanks a lot, secondly are you using this on gnome 3.0.2 ? if yes then its because of the changed padding settings in gnome 3.2, i'll update a fix for it tom.
I'm a fool. You're right. Thanks for your time and effort with this theme.
no no your no fool, i'll try an update a fix tom or the day after.
actually correcting it might be a simple issue just navigate to the place the theme is stored and open gnome-shell.css in text editor, then search for .panel-button there you'll find this .panel-button { -natural-hpadding: 12px; -minimum-hpadding: 10px; color: #bbb; text-shadow: #222 1px 0px 0px 0px ; transition-duration: 100; } replace that with this .panel-button { padding: 0px 12px; color: #bbb; text-shadow: #222 1px 0px 0px 0px ; transition-duration: 100; } and then save the file, Alt+F2 and type in rt and enter, that should fix it.
Especially Plank-ish dash seems amazing... :-) Keep up the great work!
thanks a lot
This is one of the best shell themes I have seen. I do find the look of the dash a bit weird, though. Why does the background only extend a few millimetres from the left and leave the applications hanging in mid-air?
thanks, the dock is supposed to be a replica of plank http://cdn.omgubuntu.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2011/02/Screenshot-1.png
Ah yes, I see. I didn't make the connection with that "floating above" effect, though, because the dots are below the icons, rather than in the dock to the left. It looks a bit as though the dock is supposed to roll out or expand. Is there a way to fix this? I'd like that, because if it weren't for this quirk it would probably be my favourite theme for gnome-shell so far.
ya sure emailing you the procedure
just put the instructions in the description too.
Glorious. Thanks!
