hy together,
why using transformation-packs, if everything can be done easier?? Why not using the emerald-themes for this??

And juanjesus has posted his Windows7-theme. And I can post all my original WIndows7-Wallpapers. But I am hardworing on getting up further artwork. Perhaps there will be also a Windows7-icon-theme in original look. And this is legal because juanjesus also has no licence from Microsoft. And to be honest: who really needs this licence because these icons are downloadble everywhere in the internet with GPL-Licence. So why not making something working for Gnome out of it??

And as written: this is easier as everybody thinks!! So: why does everybode make such a fuss ablut it being illegal???
Because on the other hand: why buying Windows7 for several hundreds of Euros only because of the look which one can have for free in Linux??

People seem confused by the legality side of this.

Microsoft cannot stop you from making your own designs of their artwork. Now if you took there actual files from Windows and distributed them, that's illegal according to their licensing.

People drawn copyrighted work all the time, the difference is, they drawn it themselves and as long as they don't claim the character(say Micky Mouse) is theirs, it's all fine.

I think that people is actually voting down not because this one is bad or is a clone. I think the problem is that the screenshot is actually displaying windows 7 and not a gnome look.

And I don't actually care on voting for this since I don't see anything in the screenshot that makes me appreciate this.

I don't understand why people are voting such work down.

It's artwork and if it's a good transformation pack then it should be voted up. Please don't vote artwork down because it's a clone of a Windows theme, only do if it's you think it's a bad likeness or of poor quality.

Prejudice is always a sign of stupidity. When manifested by so many members of a supposedly open minded and free community it becomes a troubling phenomenon.

The gtk theme is accurate, and although the screenshots should be changed to reflect the actual theme included in the pack, it doesn't deserve to be rated this low because it's actually well made.

It is indeed disconcerting to see so many acting with such prejudice. I'm of the opinion that creativity should not be discouraged. While I'm not a fan of Windows I do like the work that has been done on the UI.

Indeed they will. To see a community that is supposed to foster creativity actively trying to stifle creativity is quite unnerving to say the least. The sad thing is that I see this happening everywhere on this site. Not just on these Windows clones. There are times when I am almost ashamed to be a part of this community. Vote my comment down if you like. This is just the way I feel.

Definitely not gnome seeing the "Send Feedback" text on the window.

@Half-Left I'm pretty sure the score also reflects the lack of info and misleading screenshot not to mention the artwork probably is not his as stated on the description of his previous content entry. You can see how the win2-7 pack has good acceptance.
