I really like the idea, as I really like the game. But to me, the theme just hasn't got the clean, sinister look the game has. Sorry if I cannot explain it better. I really like the splashscreen though. With a bit of more work the theme could be fantastic!
Your desktop on the screenshot looks like I would picture some elite hacker-desktop from some hacker movie :D Looks extremely cool! Haven't played the game myself so can't really jugde how close it looks.... Anyway, voted good , and keep working!! //Robert

The reason everyone is voting this down and not saying why? The license isn't GPL. This here is neckbeard country, they don't like intellectual property or commercial anything, even if it IS available for Linux. They brew their own beer, grow their own vegetables, and milk their own cows, all in the name of free as in free speech. They don't give a hoot about free as in "I don't have to pay anything"; if this isn't true, then could someone explain Red Hat, Novell, Canonical, TrollTech, etc. to me? Because they make a living selling Linux or Linux-related things. Honestly, I think it's pretty cool you were able to replicate the UI from Uplink. Much more original than yet another orange/brown theme.
I don't know how legal it is for the many,many clones of Vista and OS X to license under the GPL,but I am not going to falsely give the idea that Uplink is a free GPL game... The game Uplink and the various intellectual properties thereof are not GPLed. People would complain if I licensed it as GPL anyway and say,are you sure it's free...well,I'm not sure and therefore will not license it under GPL. Hope this made sense to you,just my thoughts on the subject of licensing... Glad though, that you liked the theme ;)
This is awesome, but I have to ask what are the terms of your Proprietary License?
Weeell... Uplink is a trademark of Introversion Software. You can download it and use it as much as you like... And hack it into better shape if need be ;)
Colors are really garish. The blue is too intense, and the teal tabs and drop-downs clash badly with the blue.
On the contrary, I think the blue and teal go well together. However, my main beef with this theme is the lack of contrast.

Good job, but in my opinion the colours are too bright, there's too much old-style-OS blue and the panel is too different from the applications bar... try improve this aspects with the next release!
Well,I am not going for the new record breaking theme...this is for lovers of the game uplink and is designed to have the look and feel of uplink... I will think about,however,a uplink theme mod,maybe...
