(Since this is my first GTK theme, pixmap at that, I used the XP 2002 theme as a basis so big thanks to him too!)Last changelog:
1.0: Initial Release 1.1: Replaced panel buttons from the base XP 2002 theme with the msstyle buttons so it looks better. 1.2: Added link to my emerald theme 1.3: Found a nice orange-ish highlight in the msstyle that I think goes great with the blue panel buttons. 1.4: Added the nice start button from the msstyle in case some of you use the menu. 1.5: Added link to my Luna Element Fluxbox theme. 1.6: Found the right button-active pixmap in the msstyle and added it So when you press a button it doesn't change to the ugly light blue shade and stay with the original color. 1.7: Changed the scroll bars of the base theme to the ones from the msstyle. 1.8: Added an xfwm4 theme for those xfce users Didn't even take me an hour to finish it I wish metacity would be that easy... 1.9: Added the tabs from the msstyle 2.0: Added prelight buttons to the xfwm4 theme so when you hover over the buttons they actually do something. Thanks to d1337r for the advice 2.1: Changed the input fields and the spin buttons from the base style to the ones from the msstyle. 2.2: Alot of fixes, too many to name here. 2.3: Changed the pixmaps to the ones from the msstyle for the combo boxes.
Use gconf editor. Under apps>panel>objects, you will see 3 folders named object_x where x is a number starting from 0. On the right list look for the entry labeled object_type. Make sure it says menu-object. Scroll down to the bottom and tick use_custom_icon. Now scroll back up and where it says custom_icon point it to your icon location e.g. /location/to/icon.png.
Well I had the link on my deviant art page but I had erased the message to it sorry :( On the second screenshot with thewidgetfactory it's a wallpaper I found on a news page about the new up and coming Tron Legacy movie. I can't wait to see that movie! When I saw the trailer, I literally jizzed in my pants :P
Actually, you CAN add pictures that appear while you hover the cursor over a button on title (like close-focused-active, sadly, but you can do this only with *-focused-active). Such images are called *-prelight.xpm.
e.g. close-focused-active.png -> XPM -> close-prelight.xpm
Also, you DON'T need the menu-active.png file here.
And the last but not the lease, the menu-*.xpm files should be 16*16 (or at least 16*anything) for icons to look good.
I wish metacity would be that easy...

just a question how do you get the green square behind the "windows" icon on the panel?
