How do you get your kicker to be transparent like that?
Right-click kicker, configure, appearance, enable transparency.
Hm.. I have 3.1 just so you know and my kicker configuration does not show anything on that.
Depending on the wallpaper, you can make your kicker appear to be transparent. Start with a screenshot with the desired wallpaper. Open it in gimp or your favorite image editor and cut a slice from next to the kicker, the same height as the kicker. In gimp, select the slice, press [Ctrl+C] to copy it to the clipboard, and then right-click and select 'paste as new' from the menu. Name it, save it, use it as the background image in your kicker. Alot of my wallpaper screenshots use this effect. I'm still using KDE 3.1 at home until Fedora Core 2 (stable) is released.
Oic, thanks for the idea!
