I've been using your different variations on this theme for a week or so and I'm very happy to see that the horizontal lines in the background are less obvious. They were making it difficult to read the text on my desktop and I didn't really want to change the size of my font. These 2 new variations are lovely! Thank you :)
Thanks, I'm glad you enjoy the wallpapers. I'll try to keep visibility in mind on future works. One reason I darken the edges is to help icons stand out. My distro of choice is Fedora Core, but I used SUSE to create screenshot #2. In the shot I noticed that the text is black with a white background. I wonder if I can get this effect in Fedora Core.....
