Where has I seen it before?? I know it from somewhere but can't place it...
Think back to the 1970's and a TV series called Space 1999 (at least in the USA). It was a series about the moon blown free from Earth orbit by a very bad nuke explosion. Cool model work for the time, poor writing even by scifi standards.
