If you wanted to impose restrictions on the use of your artwork, you should've picked for instance a CC-BY license for you artwork when you released it.
The artwork this one was based on is released as "freeware". Then you cannot come *afterwards* claiming he cannot do anything with it without crediting you. Too bad.
If you want to use my pictures for your computer desktop that it's fine, but posting an image without credit me it's not permitted. Give me credit when you use my vectors or images or link back to my website. Go here to get further info

I'm also pretty sure the above guy usually uses 'free'/'freeware' as a license most of the time, not explicitly saying GPL. So it would be nice of you to change it.
