You know you can just not have a background picture, right...? Maybe there's something I'm not getting...
Yes its definitely something you're not getting. The picture is a semi-transparent foot foot and the word GNOME on a completely transparent background. Put whatever color you want background and you still have a foot & GNOME in the foreground.
