Credit where its due, Max runs best in DirectX, as Max is the game developers tool. Dont get me wrong, id love a linux version but i cant see it happening. Esp when DX10 comes out, Max is gonna be able to do some amazing things (fully programable pixel / vertex shaders + geometry shading) Who wants to say full Raytraced / G.I. / HDRI preview boxes in real time? (One day ;)

I think the correct thing to say is, Max can't run on Linux. Puts the blame in the right place.

Linux can't run Max, but... have you tried Blender?
blender....you have to be kidding me right? blender is terrible, id use XSI or Maya before that (i do have both for linux btw) but i just like Max
