okey mayby it's not a real photo. I realy don't know but Pagan (read the comments) kind of prooved that the moon is superimposed.Still i belive that it's a great image.

The phase of the moon is really the shadow of the earth on the moon... shadow as in no light from the sun that is in the same picture.
I'm confused (it's bedtime in my timezone) but I don't believe this to be a real photo either.
yeah i didn't put it in the right way.You are right phase is that thing.What i wanted to say is that the moon on the photo is at the closest distance of the year
Download the picture and open with Gimp. Then magnify on the crescent and adjust the brightness and contrast. If you do it right, you find that the moon image is actually superimposed, and the sun/sky color gradients appear in the dark part of the moon consistent with the rest of the sky.
