Description: Cerite is basically a red version of my popular theme Manganite, which can be found here: http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Manganite?content=94173
PLEASE NOTE: This theme was made with the latest version of the Murrine engine installed (0.60.1 from the Universe repositories). This theme may not work correctly with an earlier version of Murrine. I will not be held responsible for any undesired result caused by trying to use this theme with an earlier version of Murrine.Last changelog:
Hi :D
I really like this theme (Duftite too, but the dark red tone is awesome :D) and I want to use it, but i can't get it to work here.
I use Slackware 12.1 and have another murrine themes here that work, I've already installed the lastest murrine SVN (actually, i did just did the checkout from the SVN) but in gnome or xfce it fallbacks to the default GTK theme (Raleigh) when I select Cerite or Duftite or even Magnatite in the theme manager.
Have any idea?
Thanks for the attention and keep up the good work :D
Oh, God. I'm retarded.
I installed the Murrine engine from SVN when I was still using Hardy, but then installed it from the Universe repos after moving to Intrepid.
The reason why it isn't showing up for you is that with the newest version from the SVN, the "style" property is obsolete, replaced by "profile"
What I should have said was make sure you have the Intrepid version of gtk2-engines-murrine installed.
If it's possible, uninstall the SVN version and install gtk2-engines-murrine from the Universe repos.
If you are not able to do that, go into the gtkrc file and change
style = MURRINE # engine style options: CANDIDO, MURRINE, MIST, MURRINE, NODOKA
to
profile = MURRINE # engine style options: CANDIDO, MURRINE, MIST, MURRINE, NODOKA.
It should work after that change.
