Description: Inspired by the BeOS and Haiku operating systems (as well as other retro UIs). There is an alternate color scheme based on GTK's fallback theme that can be uncommented in the gtkrc; it offers more contrast.
GTK+ based on the murrine launchpad theme (version 0.5) & my own Murrina Dreadful. Requires a newish version the murrine engine.
Use whatever window decoration you like. 1.01 - A couple tiny changes. Let's hope the upload works this time. 1.0 - Initial release
I can't seem to download the file to test this version.
Could you please be specific about whether you've changed the values or whether the theme has a problem "out of the box"?
The Murrine engine has had quite a few changes over the last year and I'm not actually sure if this theme works particularly well any more.
I have re-written it so that it works on most recent versions, and I hope to polish it a bit more and publish it soon.
In the mean time, answer my first question and we can go from there.
I (re-)installed Ubuntu tonight just to be able to see this theme in use, but the download appears to be an empty file. Look forward to a re-upload. I was also a big fan of your Redmond theme. Thanks for both!
I liked it in the screenshot, it's very clean and smooth, but I can't open the tar.gz file after download. Could the archive be bad/corrupt? I've tried it with xarchiver, file-roller and sqeueeze, and none of these and open it or extract the files,
How do you get that two-color style on the drop-down menu ??
I would like to know....
and oh, [ use bg[NORMAL] = #FFFFFF on the buttons, they will look more prominent ]

...Go to the 'ol color picker to change some custom values.. All the entry text is white on white background. Is it just me?

It's a feature of the newer murrine engine. Try "comboboxstyle = 1" inside the engine block in the default definition.
I had already figured it out, anyways, thanks.....
