Description: A very loose adaptation of Symphony, now in two versions: Default & Round Buttons.
Shows off some of the features of the new murrine engine, such as:
* Flat menubar, gradient toolbar for ultra blendy goodness * Round sliders * Smooth, integrated, handle-less scrollbars * Gradients on buttons, scrollbars, menus and list selections * Et cetera
The previously packaged metacity has been modified further and moved to its own page. Links to that and other appropriate themes are provided below.
Requires SVN version of murrine.

* GTK+ was based on the proposed Ubuntu Human-Murrine Dark (from the official package). * Colors were based on Symphony. http://www.gnome-look.org/content/show.php/Symphony?content=68038 * Cimi, of course.Last changelog:
0.4 + Added a version with round buttons. It's a little glitchy, but it mostly works. + Final version, unless a bug is discovered.
0.3 + Changed the menus back to original version. The bug in 0.2 is more pervasive than I thought. Sorry folks. + Small change in the progress bars.
0.2 + Returned button icons to 22x22, the GNOME default. The option to revert to 16x16 is in the gtkrc. + Panel is not dark and ugly anymore + Changed the menus -- opens a bug in openoffice. + Fixed menu separator height problem (using clearlooks). + Normalised some colour inconsistencies. + General code clean up,
Hi, i really like your theme, i'm using it right now. I have a question for you, is it possible to put stripes in the menubar? i tried editing the file, changing the value for menubarstyle to 3, but it doesn't work.
Thank You :)
Please consider adding an Ubuntu package for Murrina. I'm on Hardy and I've tried compiling the SVN version of Murrina but it gives me errors. Your theme looks great and I really want to try it.
Cimi, the creator of Murrine, has stated that he doesn't want any .debs floating around before a stable release.

That said, I think there are .debs around.
This theme was intended as a showcase, more than anything else. Be a little patient and you'll be flooded with a host of almost identical murrine themes as in the past :)
Actually, I started to work on this theme after using the new MS office on someone else's PC. I liked the soft blue background but the rest is too glossy for my taste.
The colours in this theme are derived from the Symphony theme which, I presume, is inspired by IBM's Symphony:

Yes, it's possible. Apart from changing menubarstyle, you also need to comment line 43: "GtkMenuBar :: Shadow-type = GTK_SHADOW_NONE"
Done, thank you very much for your help and for the theme :) :)

I second that.
Yes would be nice to have that. Want also to take a look at new engine features!

Words can't express how impressed I am with these new features. More new themes based on this, more I say!
really nice ;)
I only just now pieced together that you're the original author of Symphony and Soffice. /honoured :)
