Appologies to everyone trying to download this recently. My website has been down for maintenance. It should work fine now.
Unfortunately I can't upload to gnome-look (too large) and I don't have access to proper web-hosting. I am prepared to host these files because the other Nimbus theme package provider on Gnome-look is having same problem. :-)
It should work on other debian distro's, you would just need change the applications (start menu) logo (2x), they're here:
/usr/share/icons/nimbus/32x32/places/start-here.png
/usr/share/icons/nimbus/24x24/places/start-here.png
Also, you can try using alien to convert to other package formats, see link below.

Nice theme, but I will not use it since it is released as ubuntu package.

This is a GTK theme, not GDM
OK, thanks for that note. I will re-categorize. I thought it was both GTK2 and GDM.
