I was following the English Instructions and everything was going great until I got to the Emerald part. I am running the newest version of Ubuntu & there is no System -> Preferences -> Emerald Theme Manager. I tried going into the folder and clicking on your Emerald file and it says:
Could not open: "emeraldzgeg.emerald"
Archive type not supported.
Any ideas for me? Thanks!
Hi,
Thanks for your comment
sorry, I forgot to specify that you must have install emerald in the english instruction. To use emerald theme, open a terminal, and make:
sudo aptitude install emerald
After that you can find "emerald theme manager" in the menu "system" -> "preferences"
Worked fine on the FTP link.
That said, great theme, but it certainly could've been easier to get all of it in place :P Could you consinder making a theme that you can just import (system - prefs - appearance ?)
Where can I edit the colors a bit though? The green is way too high contrast :(
HI there I am very new to linux been using it for 2 days.
I have downloaded the theme which is excellent and have managed to install the icons.
I am trying to install the theme by dragging the tar archive onto the themes window but it says "The file format is invalid"
Can some please help me out.
Many Thanks
hi,
I just want if you are using Ubuntu (which one?) or an other distribution...
In Gusty, to install the icons pack, you must extract the Aquatheme archive, go in the icons directory, and move the icon archive on the theme window (system->preferences->Apparence). If it doesn't work, tried to use the button 'install' of this window and indicate the road to the icons archive..
If it's still not working, send me a message. Use the tab 'contactez moi' (contact me) of my website. (link on the top)
Hello sorry, I am setting up my wifes system she really likes your theme but I want to know if there is a way to setup the boot up screen to say Linux and wall paper to have Linux on it as well.
The Wallpaper come from deadPxl. I have his autorization for using this one. The same wallpaper exist in blue. I will ask him if I can use it.
Thanks for your message
I'm a Ubuntu-user from Germany and i can't speak english. I hope you understand me:
I love this theme. It's perfect. GREAT JOB !
I wish this theme is Hardy-STANDARD.

Theme looks amazing! will surely try out!
Only one thing more: can u upload a GDM version without the word "Linux" at top-left? Thanks!!!!
I note ... I will probably include these changes in the next update. Thanks for your suggestions!
Great theme. Maybe next time let the main gnome panel be less than 24 pixels!!
Looks gorgeous, simply put. Very complete. I like the XI Freshsnow-GTK better with it, though - but that's pretty much it.
Today I can't use the XI Freshsnow-GTK theme, because It's only for personnal use. I will ask its creator. Note however I think keep the GTK-engine murrine, which may include support for transparency soon http://www.cimitan.com/blog/2007/12/12/gtk-rgba-transparent-widgets-with-the-murrine-engine

I have changed the first link to download this theme and I added another if the first does over again. Thanks for your comments
