Description: This is just an idea. But I would like to have a way of seeing when my disks are being used. So I came up with this! An icon in the systray that shows read/write actions and icons on the desktop that hide when the disk is removed. (Yes like a mac) If you know of anything or have any ideas please tell me!
KDE can already show disks on desktop and when they're ejected they're removed (thanks to HAL).
Right click on desktop > configure desktop > behaviour > device icons > "Show device icons".
also from kde 3.5 they'e be automouonted and possability to start a specific app aswell.
That used to work until I upgraded my SuSE , now the auto-mount acts like there is always a disk even when theres not. I hope to figure a way around this.
