Description:

I often use K/run/ rotate mouse wheel to find recent programs started from run dialog. Why not include it in the menu itself?

Or use it for recently started programs from the K-menu itself (for example when you launch Editors/Kwrite)
Saves a lot of space, and does not change K menu appearance like XP start menu.
And it does not increase height of the menu like recent apps in k menu.

Combobox also could be used, instead of spinbox. Editable or not eitable.

from kbfx : http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=24898

then to look for the application you want you can use the mouse wheel to wheel down or up to locate the application you want and the click to execute.

vista bar provides a combobox to execute programs by typing in the name .If you know the application name all you have to do it type in the first few letters then the rest it completed for

:)

This idea has promise, definately, although I can see a way that would make it more useful to people like me. (I might be crazy, but hear me out)

How about instead of one moving menu item, when we roll the scroll wheel it shuffles every menu item up and down, taking items from the top to the bottom (or vice-versa, depending on the direction of scrolling).

This might sound crazy, but anything to reduce the distance one has to push their mouse from menu button to menu item has to be an innovation for not developing RSI in later life.

Could be extended to most, if not all menus in applications and to context menus as well.

It's a mockup. Just graphical representation. I am not a KDE programmer.

Since I had to put something in download, I put image.
