I'm sorry to put this kind of comment here , but I tryed tu aply that patch and I wasn't able! I tryed whith this "patch -b -p6281 (*)6281-fonts.patch" and whith this "patch -b (*)6281-fonts.patch" and I always obtain an error.
Anybody can tell me how to install this aplication?

I personally don't like anti-aliased fonts in the 8 - 14 pt size range but the current font manager only works for programs that use the "size" entry the font config file. Konqueror uses "pixelsize" from the config file so the exclusion part from font editor program gets ignored. I would love to see this changed. I know how to do this manually but a little gui would be nice.
that mosfet was working on a better theme module for the control center so I can simply select a theme and everything would be changed, style, icons, window decoration.. etc. This includes the font scheme righ?
Sorry, to me this just seems pointless. How often do you change your fonts? I change them once in a bluemoon, and usually I change one or two of them. I have no interest in theming.
But that is just me, the main reason I'd disagree with this addition is it is crowding the dialog and the theming nature of the adddition is not well laid out, it doesn't suggest to me that the theming controls control any aspect of the dialog.
The theming controls should surround the rest of the controls to inidicate they affect them.

IMHO this makes the current usability problem, that there too many independent themes to chose from, even worse. I agree that it is desirable to have a theme of fonts, but this is not the right way. There are widget style themes, window decoration themes, icon themes color themes and with that font themes. The right solution is to have a single theme selector that offers the user to change the complete look&feel with a single click. As an advanced option you could still offer to mix 'subthemes' (like the Kermik window decoration with the HiColor icon set), but this should not clutter the font configuration even more. Instead there needs to be a consistent way to configure 'sub-themes' as part of the general theme configuration.
P.S.: I know that there is the theme kconfig module, but as no one uses it it should be obvious that there's something wrong with it.

Gnome had this for a bit until they added the 'Custom' theme option where you could select a different widget, wm, and icon theme.
It made me nuts. KDE is the best because of these very types of features. The 'less is more' approach of Gnome is totally not working for me. I was an avid user of it until Gnome 2 (e.g. the featureless GUI). It nearly has less options than Windows, heaven forbid.

Hi ! I think it would be a great thing. I often
have the situation that i install and configure new linux users kde. I take as much as possible of my own kde configuration files/themes/schemes with me in order to shorten the time i need to do this. The fonts are something i have to setup every time so a font scheme would be a much needed addon for kde :)
