Description:

This app is a System Settings module to manage service menus. The module can install and remove service menus from local files and the internet (KNewStuff).

--------------------------------------

In the downloads section you can find prepared service menus. The advantage of this files is, that they show you more meta informations about the service menus (see picture 3). But of course the normal downloads of the service menus work, too.

--------------------------------------

Installation:
cmake ./
make
make install (as root)

Note: If cmake install the kde files in a wrong directory use :
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=KDEPREFIX
Your can find out the KDEPREFIX with the command kde-config --prefix
E.g.
cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=/usr

Create a Debian/Ubuntu package:
fakeroot debian/rules binary

--------------------------------------

Known problems:
Tar-archives with no root-directory do not work (E.g. secure delete servicemenu)

--------------------------------------

Attention: Version 0.3 and 0.4 are not compatible. If you install the new version, the old service menus will still work, but you are not able to see them in this systemsettings module. To see them again, you have to reinstall the service menus.

Can you try to install the "Extract And Compress KDE4" service menu (because this menu should work without problems)

If the installation doesn't work can you check if the downloaded tar file is in the directory /home/USERNAME/.kde4/share/apps/kcm_sm/downloads.

Thanks

By installing them manullay they placed themeselves in /home/USERNAME/.kde4/share/apps/kcm_sm.
Still I can't get any of them by web installer and the "download" folder is empty.

I think I have found the problem. With version 0.1.3 the download function should work.

it seems that the package kdelibs5-dev is missing.

sudo apt-get install kdelibs5-dev

Eheh, I'm a newbie too. :)
By the way, is cmake installed in your OS?
sudo apt-get install cmake
It looks like a specific folder is missing...
Be sure all the necessary .dev libraries are installed too, along with build-essential.
