I guess it's really just personal taste, but that butterfly seems like it's trying to be the linux equivilant of the M$ logo, one of the great things about Linux is the freedom it gives you compared to windows, why would anyone want to be reminded of windows?
Poor creature. Only because M$ abused this wonderfull animal, noone ever can use is? I like the logo and as long as is has no M$ colors it looks good.

How about 2560X1024? Not enough wallpaper for us multi-headed folk. Looks nice BTW.
