The photo was taken in Edinburgh at the Fringe festival this summer...apparently!
Then there was some editing...
There are lods of versions, choose the one you like best - if you want a combination that isn't there then just ask.

i've replaced my desktop image with this one (the plain no-text version).. love the colors and simplicity. i was originally going to use an image a client brought in at work earlier this week which had a large tree cut into four sections for each season, but the artist really did a poor job of capturing the individuality of each season.

great photo here, and i like the effects added.
