I think it's the wrong place to get critics on you photographs, something like deviant art would be much better. If you get an bad rating on kde-look it don't tells you your pictures are bad, in fact it's more like "I don't like this picture as wallpaper"
I like the above picture. It's great for a wallpaper. I looked through your other stuff. The pictures aren't bad. It's the fact that I wouldn't use them as a wallpaper. I don't like wallpaper that "hides" the icons. I like wallpaper the accentuates the icon. This picture for example does a very good job of doing that.
Take the rating for what it's worth. The picture may not suck as a picture, but rather as a wallpaper.
You take ratings on kde-look.org as a primary indicator of your talent? And then get all emotional when their not good enough or something?
Honestly, that's a bit pathetic.
This is a rhetorical question: what are you gaining, or proving by not posting your pictures anymore? are you trying to make a point?
Don't get all bent out of shape over some rating system...
I should also say, this is not a criticism of you or your work, but rather a kick to say 'wake up, open your eyes! if you like taking pictures, and you like sharing them...then DO IT, and stop worrying about what others think.'

i like your photos.
the only problem with your pictures is that most of them are NOT 1600x1200 as one would expect, but 1600x1067, therefore they're not much usable as wallpapers if not after some 'gimping'.
