Description: Kapple is a OS X like theme for KDE to give the user a little of the look and feel of Jaguar. To get the 3d transition between desktops you need a hardware acceleration board (i.e nvidia GeForce, it runs in my computer). Hope you enjoy! :-D

I agree. I like Jaguar/Panther too. Though it would be nice to see those with the technical skill to create such niceties continuing beyond this point, creating innovative new desktop designs. Give people time; Perhaps todays brilliant counterfeiters are tomorrows cutting edge desktop desginers ?
I am tired of the rude comments I see all over kde-look. If someone wants to mimick the look of another OS, let them do it and don't criticize them for it! I rather like the Jaguar look, regardless of the OS I am using.
It takes a lot of work to put together things like this. Mimicry takes a talent of its own right. If you don't like it, then keep your mouth shut while you go off and invent your own theme. Or at least have a little tact and courtesy when you give your comments.
I'm not a big fan of reproducing an "alien" look on my linux box BUT some actual metatheme like this post suggests is badly needed.
just think about having a populated theme list in kcontrol by default. one should be able to choose among a list of well known user interfaces, to recreate a familiar environment in a snap. i think kde is one of the most customizable desktops around.
so i'm voting good here, not the implementation - i'm not going to download anything - but the idea behind it
peace
I think it is bad to clone anything. It is not original, not inventive.
Open Source themes are often include everything but are inconsistent, no common style.
yeah i'm not talking about cloning, it's all about themability: kde/qt has a very strong native support for themability.
we simply lack common metathemes and then there'd be no need to tweak each kcontrol module under Appearance. Just set theme to Plastik (like i would do), or MacOSX or WinXP or whatever
You can have themes in Kde. The theme manager is there in kcontrol and looks quite usable for this task.
The question is the amount of themability. Its not trivial to pack anything in a theme and install (and uninstall) it with a theme manager. So it is usually reduced to the easier things like colors, widget styles, icons, etc.
i don't think so; (imho) it makes sense to point out everything that is needed to reproduce the osx look'n'feel :) thus people get a simlpe solution & don't have to google too much ;)

It does not make sense to get a "theme" when I have to manually go and download all the components that are needed to comprise the theme itself. Huh?

indeed -_-
to be fair, it is very good looking and appears to demonstrate very good technical abilities.
another unoriginal clone... :(
