Description:

This is a theme based on Azenis, created by JJ Ying (www.jjying.cn). All credits for the artwork goes to him. I only made the port of it. I of course had to alter it a bit because of the limits in Dekorator and Kbfx.

Decompress the Azneins Theme and find the readme.pdf inside. It tells you how to install the theme

What the theme include:

Windeco for Dekorator

Kbfx theme

Font for Kbfx

Wallpaper

Kicker background

Icon backgrounds (for icons in kicker)

KDE Splash theme One with sysinfo and one without.

KDM-Theme This is my first KDM-Theme so don't judge me to hard :P
You will need to install the font (saved by zero) provided in the "Azenis Theme".
I don't know if it works with other resolutions other than 1280X1024.

Cursor-theme (Target) of JJ Ying. I have changed the color and made it smaller than the original.

Added a SuperKaramba sysinfo-theme. I used the TechMon-theme as a base.

Fixed mistakes in deKorator (Left bottom corner and left top frame). Cant believe I missed that.

Added a Amarok Super Karamba-theme (first screenshot). I used another karamba-theme as a base as I am novice on scripting.

As always, it's not done yet. When I figure out how to make a volume-slider I will finish it. It seems to use a bit of cpu as well. Suggestions are welcome.

Added my UT2004 server info-theme for SuperKaramba. It is based on skQstat: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php/skQstat?content=19106
Don't know if ppl still play UT2004 but I added it anyway. Maybe someone have some use of it. The only requirement that I remember is qstat that you probably will find in your distros repository.

Put all into one download, and made better structure of the theme. I also made a howto in a pdf-format for new comers to Linux. I'm not very good at explaining things but I hope it will due. I also added a OpenOffice.org-splash. There is no room for more screenshots so you need to click on the link to see it

As ppl have asked for a color-scheme, I added a color scheme and also a QtCurve-theme because of the color for the scrollbar. Don't forget to save your QtCurve theme if you should not like this one. This will always be separated as its own download.

Added a background for Liquid Weather (I used "Black Cutouts" as a template to make mine). You need to click on the link to see a preview. I also removed the separate downloads.

If someone request it I will update the howto to cover "Liquid Weather", but You will most likely find info on that on main site for lwp. http://liquidweather.net/

Something happened to my file on the host. Had to rename some of the files. At the same time I updated the screenshot and uploaded the new Audacious skin which was not updated last time.

Updated the Audacious-skin. Added better looking buttons.

Fixed the problem with the decompress. Seems to work now.

Fixed the KBFX start button. Also fixed the date for KClock. It was one pix to low (strange, thought I had fixed it before).

The new icons in the screenshot is called Preface (found it some time ago on some site), and is not an icon-theme. I manually changed the icons I use.

Found a error in the KDE Splash theme (system). Removed "uname -m" and "uname -a". Will look better for all distros (I think).

Hello

This is a really nice theme, but I cannot get it to work properly :( I'm a Debian newbie.

Are you using the latest version of KBFX? The one I am using was freshly installed from "apt-get install kbfx" today.

After I click install theme in the KBFX configuration window, it doesn't change the "Button" on the taskbar, only the menu, and the theme isn't properly installed.

I think you are using a older version of kbfx, and I think that themes for newer kbfx don't work. To check what version you have, do this in a console:

kbfxconfigapp -v

The version I made my theme for is " 0.4.9.3.1"

If you have this version, check out my post: "Re: kbfx menu broken". You find it at page 3. If you don't have latest version of kbfx, you can try to install the latest: http://ftp.se.debian.org/debian/pool/main/k/kbfx/kbfx_0.4.9.3.1-1_alpha.deb

I don't recommend installing it this way. You should ask in the Debian forum http://forums.debian.net/ how to edit your repositories and install it that way instead. The above package might work, but I'm not sure (I don't take any responsibility for it). It might depend on some package you don't have. Setting up you repository to use newer package will take care of this.

One thing is not working for me: In the taskbar, the windows buttons appear in grey as before, instead of in the texture of the rest of the bar. What am I doing wrong?

Right click on Kicker and click on "Configure panel".
Click on taskbar, then change to "Elegant" in Appearance". You can also change the colour of the text and the background (when you hover on a taskbar button) if you tick the box "Use custom colours".

Ok, I have what I think is the same problem. When I mouse over the task bar the buttons turn a very uncoordinated shade of gray. I can't find anything in the how-to that says how to change this and no where in the panel config menus is there anything that lets me change that mouseover color.


Really awesome theme though! Good work.

The "hover-colour" is controlled by the colour-settings you find if you right click on the kicker. Then go to where you control the taskbar and tick to use "custom colours". Then change the colour for "background".

There is not much you can do except change to a colour you prefer. The most optimal would be to have this transparent, and the text go bold when you hover over it, but that is not possible (as I know).

I right click the kicker and go "configure panel" I go to the "taskbar" tab. No where on there does it say anything like "custom color" Neither does it say that on any of the other tabs except the for the backgrounds of a few of the application icons. Not the task bar.

What version of KDE to you have? I'm using 3.5.

Maybe you are using a older version of KDE. I use 3.5.9. I think these settings is only available on latest KDE.

I did find another solution that might work. http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php/Taskbar+v2?content=31611 I tried it and its quit nice. It even has a nice preview that shows when you hover over a "task" and it does make the "task's" transparent when you hover over them.

I don't know if you are using (K)Ubuntu, as there is only a deb to download, but if you using some other distro you might find it in you repository.

If you get it installed, right click on Kicker and click on "add new "program"" (using Swedish here) and you will find it in the list there. To edit it's settings you need to set the "program grip" (still Swedish here :P) visible. To do this, check at the top in the howto.pdf for Azenis theme. Then right click on the little "grip" on the taskbar and you will see the config menu.

Have you read the HowTo.pdf. Its in the Azenis_Theme. If you have and don't understand it (not meant to be rude), you need someone to install Azenis Theme for you.

thank you i got it i couldnt install kbfx becuase the command sudo get-apt install kbfx did not enter but it installed thank you for your responce =]

Hey by far the best theme I've ever used, great work, but I have one problem, dont know if anybody knows how to get the custom backgrounds to cover the entire panel. Applets such as the desktops and the clock system tray are on the usual white background. Thanks for the help.

I don't know if I understand you correctly, but If you got problem of the background of the clock/date, I made a little screenshot for you:

Just right click on the clock and click on "clock properties" Then on the date colour-pallet. Then tick the box as in the screensshot.

Hope it was this problem you have.

You need to decompress the file you downloaded and read the readme (in pdf)

I've downloaded and extracted the file, however cannot get the KDE manager or emerald to see any of the fies, also the pdf file won't open, any ideas on how I get this to work? Really like the look of it from the screen shots and any help would be appreciated

P.S I'm using Kubuntu KDE4 remix

There is no "theme-file". Everything must be installed manually.

The window decorator don't use Emerald, you need deKorator for this.

If you cant open the pdf-file you need to install a pdf-reader like Kpdf or acrobat reader.

The pdf-file was corrupt. I have uploaded a new one just now, so the problem was at my end. Sorry for that. Download it again and the pdf will work.

I ended up having to get rid of KDE4 and go to KDE3, after that worked a treat. Cheers for the PDF guide, have only been using Kubuntu for a week amd is my first attempt at Linux, found your guide really easy to follow, love the theme.

I downloaded few times the azenistheme.tar.gz package but it seems like the archive contains error:

gzip: stdin: unexpected end of file
