Perhaps worst things I could discover at KDE's Webdev Suite Quanta+ is the n*ce splash screen.
Thus the step towards a less unfitting edition was not far. For that, the openSuSE 10.2 GDM background image had to be adopted - in order to fit together with OOo, Gimp, Ksplash etc..


Installation:
* system wide: simply replace the old splash screen with the new one:
# mv ~/WHERE/quantalogo.png /opt/kde3/share/apps/quanta/toolbar
Note: The path is the one in SuSE, for most other distroes place it more likely into /usr/share/apps/quanta/toolbar/

* for a single user:
# mv ~/WHERE/quantalogo.png ~/.kde/share/apps/quanta/toolbar
Note: the dir ~/.kde/share/apps/quanta/toolbar probably doesn't exist. If not, mkdir -p it!
