What kernel modules do I need to enable in order to get this to work? I'm pretty sure I don't have any of the sensors compiled in and I'm not sure which to use. Thanks.
I don't know what sensors you need it depends on your mainboard.
Look here http://www2.lm-sensors.nu/~lm78/supported.htm and serach your Mainboard and then compile the right sesors in. Then execute sensors-detect and look what modules are missing then compile the missing into and exec sensors-detect again and look of the depencies of the new modules. If all done you can exec sensors to display infos.
If you speak german read this:
http://de.gentoo-wiki.com/LM-Sensors
If you speak english read tis one:
http://en.gentoo-wiki.com/HARDWARE_Sensors
But the english tutorial is not so good as the german one.
Hmm...I'm reading conflicting posts on whether or not lm_sensors will work with my IBM T42p Thinkpad. I'll have to search the Gentoo forums to see if anyone else has this running. Anyway, thanks for the links.
