Is it possible to get variations of the background color?
I like that the song/album title are fully visible -- and EXCELLENT choice in incorporating mouse-wheel volume adjustment.

just alter the image in gimp. changing the hue would alter the blue alot without too much affect on the brown. you cold overwrite the original file after backing it up or go into the py code and redirect to your new background.
Image alteration: gotcha. The gray is actually very nice. I'm inclined to be lazy and keep that ;)
Where's the click area for the OSD? I can click the image and get Amarok to appear, but I haven't seen any response for the OSD.

if you know your color RGB ot HTML I could alter it for you. I have also added click area for showing the OSD (on screen display).

COOL! I so often want to get the OSD back (especially if I've tweaked it). Neat feature.
