Description: Inspired from different themes and screenshots, I've created this theme. I needed a vertically oriented theme with buttons matching the style I use : Plastik.
In the source archive, you will find the gimp file so you can replace my Tux with any logo (personal, distro, organization, whatever) you wish. I also joined the kpovmodeler source file so you can play around with it.
I'd like to thank all the people sharing here their kdm themes since I studied their themes to code my xml file. I'd like also to say it's quite surprising not having any decent official doc about designing kdm themes but I guess authors are busy developing kde4 ;-)
Background picture is kubuntu-wallpaper.png from Kubuntu Edgy. There is no mention about the author nor the licence but I guess it's GPL.
Version is 0.9 because it doesn't look exactly the way I want. I'm still looking for a way to use a bold font for 'Welcome to localhost' and to decrease the font size for the system menu.
Theme has been tested on kubuntu 6.10 using kde 3.5.5 @ 1280x1024.
Installation :
- Download and unzip the theme archive. - Put the theme folder in ~/.kde/share/apps/kdm/themes - Edit your /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc - Change or add the line Theme=~/.kde/share/apps/kdm/themes/dvorak
