Hi,
The theme looks really wonderful. I'm using Gnome in Fedora. So, if possible can someone translate me the Ubuntu commands in Fedora ( ie. the same process ), which would be really helpful.
Translation (translated with Google Translate):
Well, this my 1st contribution to gnome-look will teach you how to change the look of Pidgin one more stylized (in my case trying to imitate Adium). Explaining that I have installed Pidgin on Ubuntu 9.10 (Karmic Koala), knowing that we begin:
1 To be stylized conversation windows, you must install pidgin-webkit, which makes use webquit obvious, and as we do well:
$ Sudo apt-add-ppa repository: webkit-team/ppa
2 ° Now we do the installation of units and checkinstall (to generate a. Deb)
$ Sudo aptitude install libnotify-bin-dev pidgin-dev libpurple-dev bzr libwebkit checkinstall
3 rd now download the source code of the add
$ Bzr branch lp: ~ spoidar / pidgin-webkit / karmic-fixes
4th generate binary files for installation (recalling that terminal must be on the folder in which downloaded the add: using command $ cd / home / Ruta_donde_lo_descargaste)
$ Make
$ Sudo checkinstall
Important: During installation show us a menu of what we are going to install (from 0 to 11), MODIFY point 2 here, as this named \ "karmic \" with which you wish to avoid conflicts.
Only subtraction 5th activate the new plug-in Pidgin and choose the more we like q
6 In your home folder is created a new folder: / home / TU_USUARIO / .purple
That's where you can isntalar new themes, sounds, icons, etc.. For now replace that folder, and also replace files:
/ usr / share / pixmaps / pidgin
I share the files ...... good I hope you like it, greetings and bye
Postscript: To see hidden files CTHL + H, and to replace the files in / usr / share / pixmaps / pidgin open with:
$ Sudo nautilus / usr / share / pixmaps / pidgin
http://www.adiumxtras.com/index.php?a=search&cat_id=5&sort=date_reviewed
http://live.gnome.org/Empathy/Themes
$ nautilus /home/TU_USUARIO/.purple/themes
Y solo seleccionarlo desde complementos de Pidgin
Your, what ever it is, looks very nice.
I think it is a kind of pidgin theme, isn't it?
An english description would be nice as I would like to try this theme.
