Description: Mostly-configurable Mac-like (see screenshots) drop-in replacement for KSplash. Notice that this is a seperate software package which physically replaces your ksplash binary. Not for the weak-of-heart. This _should_ work with KDE 2.1 and greater, but who knows for sure. Includes a KCM module to help you configure it (each user can set it up differently).
(This is REALLY early stuff. My apologies for it being so crude... I'll be sure to post updates as I make it work better.)
Simple to configure and install. Very configurable (though more improvement is needed).
An update will be available soon which (a) fixes the problems encountered so far (credit will be given where it's due :), and (b) adds the ability for users to select splash screen pixmaps, without having to remember exactly where on the filesystem they're supposed to go. (The traditional "overwrite the splash.png" method will still apply, though. :)
:) ttt
I like the fact that there is an entry in conf-panel for a splashscreen. I think this shoud be the default for all splashscreens. Like this it is very easy to modify your splashscreen (when thinking of coporate desktops this could be very much wanted ... the name of the company ) --- this rocks and I hope that it will be the default way of handling splashscreens in KDE ----- Fab

Looks fantastic, but I will hold back a while until it is a little more stable.... Keep up the good work!!!
This look great, but I prefer to wait for a stable release.
It looks really great but it doesn't go away when kde is up and running. Using it with kde 2.2.1 on Mandrake 8.0. Anyway thanks.
I'm glad you like it! I should be finished adding the rest of the configuration options soon. :) -dT-
