Description: Installing: Replace gimp-splash.png should be somewhere here: /usr/share/gimp/2.4/images rename the original and replace with new one. Rename this to: gimp-splash.png
The illusions are great, the mountains, the clouds, the rainbow, the sun looks like an eye. The colors compliment the over all look.

On the other hand, I really like the font, I wouldn't change it, it compliments the over all structure of the composition.
